Editor - PCR (Fixed Term Contract), Little, Brown Book Group

What you’ll be doing

This is an exciting opportunity to join PCR’s Non-Fiction team and take the lead publishing a range of books for the imprint. This is a fixed term contract to cover a period of parental leave. In this busy and varied role, you will work independently on and with full responsibility for a list of authors across the Piatkus Non-Fiction and Robinson lists. Focused on bringing projects to their full potential, exceptional publishing and brilliant author care, this role also involves regular communication and close collaboration with other departments.

This role offers the opportunity to work on a wide variety of non-fiction within a friendly and supportive team and training in the skills essential for a career as an editor. There will be on-the-job training in any systems and processes you are not familiar with.

Who we are looking for

This role is perfect for an enthusiastic and organised individual who wants to take the next step in their publishing career. You will be highly organised, efficient, proactive and able to work as part of a large team. A strong interest in commercial non-fiction and impeccable spelling and grammar are essential, as well as a meticulous eye for detail, strong communication skills and the ability to manage your time effectively, prioritise and work well under pressure.
