Educational Sales Consultant - Central Europe

What you’ll be doing

We are looking to recruit an International Educational Sales Consultant to sell our highly regarded and successful range of publishing into International and British schools in Central Europe. You will seek out sales leads by visiting schools, trade booksellers and agents. You will work collaboratively with teachers and other education professionals to gain a thorough understanding of current teaching practices. You will strive towards building a thriving partnership with your customers based on trust and offer them practical solutions through our range of products and resources.

Your focus will be on maintaining excellent working relationships with schools to encourage loyalty and repeat custom.

Additionally, you will manage key accounts and agents throughout your territory with support from your Area Manager.

You’ll collaborate with the wider Europe Sales team, supporting with attendance of Europe wide conferences and events.

Who we are looking for

Ideally you will be fluent in spoken and written English and based in Berlin although the role is open to any applicants based in Germany.

You will possess the following skills, experience, and attributes:

  • Proven consultative sales, presentation, and networking skills
  • Strong organisational skills coupled with a keen eye for detail
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • An independent decision maker
  • Highly motivated and able to plan and manage own workload independently
  • Confident both working independently and as part of a matrixed team
  • Computer literate with Skills including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Customer focused and proactive
  • Flexible, adaptable, and positive
  • Confident/comfortable with international business travel and able to conduct visits in the field away from home for up to 2 weeks at a time.  


  • Experience in both International B2C and B2B sales an advantage
  • A successful track record in International Education publishing/sales/teaching
  • Good knowledge of the international education market place
