Facilities Manager, Hachette UK

Who we are and what we do

Hachette UK is a leading UK publishing group. The group is made up of ten autonomous publishing divisions and over fifty imprints with a rich and diverse history. 

The facilities team are responsible for overseeing and coordinating all facilities services including in-house, print room, post room and reception services and out-sourced cleaning, catering, maintenance, stationery, gardening and pest control services. In addition to these services the facilities team are responsible for health and safety of all visitors and staff, environmental compliance and move and change projects.

What you’ll be doing

Based in our London Headquarters building in Blackfriars you will be managing and coordinating all facilities related activities to deliver safe, excellent customer focused and cost effective services. You will manage a team of six post room staff to provide all post services at Carmelite House and ensure all post and courier providers are regularly reviewed on cost and service levels. Manage a team of three receptionists providing warm, welcoming and efficient guest services on the main reception desk.

Who we’re looking for

We’re looking for someone with a passion for delivering the very best cost effective facilities services to our publishing divisions.  You will need to have proven experience of working in a Facilities Management role that has included delivering move and change projects. Previous experience of managing in house facilities service teams such as post room and reception would be beneficial.
