What you’ll be doing
The Head of Media Development is a new role that sits at the heart of Hachette UK and is critical to exploiting the huge range of creative content we have across the adult publishing divisions..
You will be actively pitching new projects from across Hachette UK to broadcasters, production companies, streaming platforms and other content providers, both in the UK and internationally to find us the best possible partners. You will work with editorial teams early at ideas-led project development stage as well as at acquisition for traditionally acquired titles, in promoting both ideas driven book creation and media exploitation.
Who we are looking for
You will already have at least two years’ experience within a film or television setting. You will be familiar with negotiating film options and have excellent contacts within film, TV, radio, theatre. You will have impressive interpersonal and negotiation skills that will help you communicate effectively with a wide range of customers and in-house colleagues and to foster an excellent reputation with authors and literary agents as well as in the broader film and TV world.
