Order Manager - Supply Chain (Parental Leave Cover), Hachette UK

Hachette UK is a leading UK publishing group. The group is made up of ten autonomous publishing divisions and over fifty imprints with a rich and diverse history. The newly created digital and online sales team works across our trade publishers, Headline, Hodder & Stoughton, John Murray Press, Quercus, Bookouture, Little, Brown, Orion, Hachette Children's Group and Octopus, covering sales across all formats to digital and online customers.
What you’ll be doing
We are looking for an exceptional order manager – supply chain to help optimise every stage of the HUK supply chain to our key online retailers.
In this 12 month maternity cover, you will be working with colleagues across the team and wider businesses to ensure the highest quality and professional standards of account support and customer service.
The role will consist of working closely with the divisional directors to help accurately forecast sales, optimise delivery systems and minimise returns. This will be achieved through good communication with our warehouse and customers, as well as internal contacts and teams.
You should be passionate about online sales and stock or account management experience is a must for this role.
Who we’re looking for
The successful candidate would have a very close attention to detail and an ability to use data in order to ensure that we are maximising opportunities. They will be capable of working across a large number of titles and react to fast-moving situations concerning our titles and availability.
Close work with the rest of the online and digital sales team is essential, along with good communication with the wider companies, so you should be a great team player able to balance and prioritise a busy and varied set of tasks.
Sales and/or stock management experience is essential, and it would be helpful if you have experience using Amazon Vendor Central. You’ll need to be proficient with Microsoft Office (especially Excel and PowerPoint) and have some experience with data analysis.
