Publishing Assistant (3 month FTC)

What you’ll be doing

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is really looking to make their mark in this rich and varied role.  Although you will be working predominantly with the Editorial department you will also be assisting with both general and specific tasks relating to the work of the Sales, Rights, Marketing & Publicity Departments. 

You’ll be based in our Chichester office.

  • General administrative tasks for all departments
  • Market and competition research
  • Picture research
  • Text compilation and some creative writing
  • Blurb writing
  • Proof reading
  • Reviewing sample writing/new projects

Who we are looking for

You will need to be highly organised, have a really strong eye for design and creative flair, and be flexible to the ever-changing demands of the fast-paced business.  You will also need to display a genuine interest and commitment to a career in publishing.

Candidates will also need to demonstrate that they have:

  • A hands-on approach and willing to get stuck-in!
  • First class writing skills and an excellent eye for detail
  • Commercial awareness
  • Self-motivation
