Sales Executive: Supply Chain and Audio, Hachette UK
Who we are and what we do
Hachette UK is a leading UK publishing group, made up of ten autonomous publishing divisions and over fifty imprints with a rich and diverse literary history. Hachette UK aims to be the publisher and employer of choice for all people, and is a dynamic, fun place to work, where we are committed to Changing the Story. The digital and online sales team works across our trade publishers, Headline, Hodder & Stoughton, John Murray Press, Quercus, Bookouture, Little, Brown, Orion, Hachette Children's Group and Octopus, covering sales across all formats to digital and online customers.
What you’ll be doing
We are looking for an exceptional sales executive to join our digital and online sales team, working across the Hachette trade publishers to help maximise our sales.
This is a varied role, working across two key areas of our business: supply chain and audio sales.
You will be working closely on our supply chain to be sure that our titles are available from key retailers at the right levels. This will be achieved through good communication with our warehouse and customers, as well as internal contacts and teams.
You will also be supporting our audio sales across the divisions, focussed on maximising our opportunities with key retailers and driving this growth area of our business.
Due to the different aspects of the role, you should be enthusiastic about audio publishing, and also about forecasting and the supply of physical stock. In addition, you will be keen to be part of a busy and successful online and digital sales team.
Who we’re looking for
We’re looking for someone eager to move on in their publishing career, with a particular interest in physical online and digital audio sales. The successful candidate would have a very close attention to detail and an ability to use data in order to ensure that we are maximising opportunities.
You should be a great team player able to balance and prioritise a busy and varied set of tasks across two key areas of the business.
Sales and/or stock management experience is helpful, and it would be a plus if you have experience using Amazon Vendor Central. You’ll need to be proficient with Microsoft Office (especially Excel and PowerPoint) and ideally have some experience with data analysis.
What we offer
We offer a competitive salary and benefits package together with a creative and exciting working environment. Holiday leave is set to 25 days and Bank holidays.
Hachette employs people on the basis of their abilities. We aim to attract and develop talent from a base as broad as the world of readers we want to reach, with a wide and representative range of age, faith, disability, race, gender, sexuality and socio-economic, regional and cultural backgrounds.
