Octopus Publishing Group is an award-winning, non-fiction publisher producing titles on a wide range of subjects including food and wine, health and wellbeing, gardening and popular science.
The group comprises of several imprints including Conran Octopus, Hamlyn, Mitchell Beazley, Aster, Philip’s, Spruce, Ilex, Miller’s, Cassell, Kyle Books, Summersdale, Pyramid, Endeavour and Monoray who all seek to produce the very best books in non-fiction publishing.
What you’ll be doing
You will be required to work closely with the Head of Operations, and our dedicated sales and marketing team ensuring that authors, retailers and booksellers are provided with the best service, whilst creating strong long term relationships. You will play a key role in ensuring the smooth-running of the team and you’ll be providing essential administrative and operational support. Typical tasks include maintaining, cleansing and enhancing data, as well as liaising with authors and customers to process orders and general enquiries.
Who we’re looking for
We are looking for an enthusiastic self-starter to assist the Operations team, and to offer administrative support. Candidates should be organised and methodical, with good communication and numerical skills as well as proven attention to detail. Candidates would need to be computer literate in Excel and PowerPoint, and experience of Biblio and Vista systems would be an advantage but is not essential
