What you’ll be doing
We are looking for a Senior Desk Editor to work on books and digital materials for secondary schools and colleges, specialising in science and maths. As part of a small and friendly team, you will oversee a range of titles from manuscript hand-over to publication. You will work closely with our Production, Design and Picture Research teams and also supervise freelance editorial suppliers, maintaining good working relationships while ensuring that standards remain high.
Who we’re looking for
You will be a proactive planner, an effective teamworker, and quick to adapt to changing circumstances. An understanding of the publishing process and excellent copy-editing and proofreading skills are a prerequisite.
A track record of editorial project management, on educational or academic books or other resources, is essential.
