Senior Production Controller, Orion

What you’ll be doing

Plan, control and carry out all production aspects of pre-press and manufacturing process on many formats within a specified list or area of publishing to ensure cost-effective, timely and quality production of new publications and reprints.

Who we are looking for

This is a 12 month fixed term position. We need an experienced production professional with the following attributes:

  • Advanced technical knowledge of print and how books are made, including digital formats and workflows
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
  • Be Pro active and behave with a responsible attitude
  • Have an eye for detail
  • Work with consistency and accuracy, even under pressure
  • Experience of Biblio is an advantage

This role can be based at our London office, or at any of our new regional offices in Edinburgh, Newcastle, Manchester, Sheffield or Bristol, with a blend of in-office (3 days) and homeworking (2 days) per week.

The production department at Orion is fast paced and dynamic, producing a wide range of titles across many imprints, from the jigsaw puzzles of Laurence King , best selling novels, through illustrated cookery books and genre fiction.
